During an epidural anesthesia procedure, performed in a lateral decubitus position, the patient is partially aware and is sensitive to the discomfort in his shoulder.
   The first product developed, a pneumatic axillary support cushion, provides even weight distribution of the patient on the operating table during surgery. The adjustable inflation system brings dramatic improvement for the comfort of the patient. The device is adjustable during surgery which allows the anesthesiologist to regularly reassess and react to the patients' needs. After inflation, the shoulder-float is properly positioned for the patient's comfort. The shoulder is properly decompressed.

   In obstetrics, it is desirable to lift the right hip of a patient between 20 to 40 degrees. This inclination promotes uterine displacement, useful in all Cesarean Sections and deliveries in the supine position. The uterus tends to compress the vena cava and/or aorta (the so-called aorto-caval compression syndrome), impairing blood flow to the fetus and to the mother.

   This inflatable and adjustable "pillow" is placed under one hip during Cesariean section. By inflating or deflating the pillow at any time during the procedure, the hip can be raised or lowered. The angle of rotation (or tilt) can then be adjusted. This device is also useful during kidney surgery and surgery on the side of the leg and ankle.

   This device has a non-inflated flap extending from one side. The flap is placed under one of the patient's hips while the inflatable portion is placed under the other hip. The weight of the patient on the flap prevents the lateral shifting of the pillow.
